Privacy policy
Book File Rescue, a brand of Barnett Software, LLC, uses the information you send to answer your request and deliver the agreed service.
What we receive
The intake collects your name, email and the offer details shown on the form. We store those details and a keyed hash of your IP address in Cloudflare D1. The hash supports abuse limits; the intake database does not store the raw IP address. Cloudflare also processes network information while serving the site.
Files are sent by email after confirmation, not uploaded through this site. Do not send credentials, payment-card details or unrelated personal information.
Use and providers
We use Cloudflare for hosting and intake storage, our email provider for correspondence, file-processing tools for the agreed repair or preparation, and Stripe for payments when enabled. The intake sends a plain-text summary to our operations mailbox. These providers process information to provide their services. We do not receive full payment-card details.
We do not sell personal information, use it for unrelated marketing, or add third-party trackers or analytics scripts. There are no advertising pixels or third-party scripts on this site.
Retention and deletion
Customer files, including emailed attachments and working copies, are deleted 14 days after acceptance. If a job is declined or cancelled, files are deleted within 14 days of closure. Order records and delivery logs are kept 180 days for disputes. Intake records, notification summaries and related service correspondence are kept 180 days from creation, with daily deletion checks. Rate-limit records expire through daily cleanup.
These limits apply to records under our control. Payment providers may keep records under their own legal requirements. We limit access to service information and do not place it in public site files.
Your requests
Email hello@bookfilerescue.com to ask for access, correction or deletion. We verify the request before changing records and explain any records that must be kept for a legal obligation or active dispute.
